Privacy Notice
How we handle your information
Plain-language information about the data we collect through this website and what we do with it.
Last updated: 25 July 2026
Who we are
This website is operated by Build and Bloom Therapy Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17337738. Registered office: 61 Mareham Lane, Sleaford, England, NG34 7LA.
Build and Bloom Therapy Ltd is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us at enquiries@buildandbloomtherapy.co.uk .
Information we collect through this website
There are three separate places where this website may collect personal information about you:
- Therapy enquiries — the details you provide in the
contact form or any email you send to
enquiries@buildandbloomtherapy.co.uk. - Newsletter subscriptions — the email address and optional first name you provide if you sign up to our newsletter.
- Analytics — anonymous statistics about how the site is used, collected only if you accept analytics cookies.
Therapy enquiries
When you send an enquiry, we collect your name, email address, optional telephone number, your preferred contact method and the message you write. We use this information to reply to your enquiry and, if we agree to work together, to arrange an initial consultation.
Enquiries are delivered directly to Emily's business mailbox. The website itself does not store your enquiry in a database.
Lawful basis: we process your enquiry on the basis of your legitimate interest in contacting us, and on the basis of taking pre-contractual steps at your request.
How long we keep it: if you do not become a client, we delete your enquiry within six months. If you become a client, further clinical information is handled separately through our clinical records system (Carepatron) rather than through this website.
Newsletter
If you sign up for the newsletter, we collect your email address (required) and first name (optional). Newsletter delivery is managed by Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.), who processes your data on our behalf.
We use double opt-in: submitting the form on this website does not subscribe you. You will only be added to the list once you confirm through Mailchimp's confirmation email.
Lawful basis: your explicit consent. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send you.
Separation from therapy: subscribing to the newsletter is entirely separate from a therapy enquiry. Submitting an enquiry, becoming a client or communicating with Emily by email will never add you to the newsletter list. Being on the newsletter list has no effect on access to therapy services.
Analytics and cookies
This website uses Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google Ireland Limited) to understand how people use the site. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them through the cookie consent banner.
Before you accept, Google Analytics runs in "Consent Mode" — which means it does not set cookies or collect identifiable data. Nothing about your therapy enquiry is ever passed to Google.
Google may transfer analytics data to the United States. Google has certified to the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the UK Government has recognised as providing an adequate level of protection.
Lawful basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser data or using the "Cookie preferences" option (once available).
Full details of the cookies set are in the Website and Cookie Notice.
Who processes your information
The following organisations may process your data on our behalf:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts this website and provides spam protection (Turnstile) for the contact form.
- Resend, Inc. — delivers your contact form submission to our business mailbox.
- Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.) — manages the newsletter mailing list.
- Google Ireland Limited — provides Google Analytics 4 (only if you accept analytics cookies).
- Microsoft Corporation (Microsoft 365 for Business) — hosts our business email inbox used to receive and respond to enquiries.
- Carepatron — clinical records system used outside this website once you become a client.
International data transfers
Some of the organisations listed above are based outside the United Kingdom, and may transfer your data to countries including the United States and the European Economic Area. In every case, the transfer relies on either:
- the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or
- UK International Data Transfer Agreements (or Addenda) with the processor.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask what information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong
- ask us to delete information (subject to some limits)
- object to us processing your information
- ask us to restrict how we process your information
- withdraw consent where we rely on consent
- ask for a copy of the information in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, please email enquiries@buildandbloomtherapy.co.uk .
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). The ICO can be contacted at ico.org.uk or by telephone on 0303 123 1113.
